A Girls GOTTA have MAD MONEY! DEAL OF THE WEEK

Last week was a good week.  We got to spend time together as a family doing something we like to do.  Eating out after church.  We visited a new church in our area, and were pleasantly thrilled that it was so close to the church that we left behind.  Of course, one of the things that has become a necessity, or a ritual for our family, is to treat ourselves to lunch after church.  So Sunday, we chose Chili's, cause if you remember last week we had a deal from Chili's with a coupon for free chips and queso which was generated from joining their email list.  It was good, and we had great conversation over our free chips....hee hee....

This week, I just wanted to remind everyone who likes to shop with coupons, that Kroger offers on line coupons available to download to your Kroger card from your home computer.  Simply log into Kroger.com and it will prompt you to sign up to view their ad, download coupons, or create a shopping list.  It becomes bothersome to have to carry around coupons, and   Most of the time, I let my coupons expire, and I HATE THAT!  These coupons generally carry a month's date before they expire.

You don't even have to remember what coupons you have.  I simply download the coupons for the items that I use everyday. Pick them up as you need them and discover a nice surprise during checkout.  The savings come off automatically at the end of the order.  Just think, if that item is already on sale, you are getting additional savings just for loading the coupons on the card.  I think that is a GREAT HELP, and a GREAT DEAL!

Kroger is also offering a deal on their Coin Star for any of you who like to use the  Itunes card.  With $40.00 in coinstar, receive a $10.00 Itunes for free.

Please don't think I am promoting Kroger because I work there.  I  will also promote other grocers as well when I find a GREAT DEAL to share .  Please share your ideas with us, if you would like.

A GIRL'S GOTTA HAVE MAD MONEY-DEAL OF THE WEEK

Hello Girlfriends,

If you and your families like to eat out as much as mine, I have a few helpful hints that I have run across.  Many times, when you visit an eating establishment, the receipt will have a survey attached to the end of it.  Why not take the survey when you have time.  Many times, once you are on the website, you will be prompted and asked if you would like to remain on their email list for future sales and promotions.  Like me, if you are going to eat there anyway, why not be on their list to receive coupons or promotion dates.

This week, I found that my BIG DEAL was to join the email list of Chili's rest.  Upon completion of my survey, I was prompted for a coupon for FREE chips and queso.  Ok, you might be thinking , "that's only a savings of about $3.50", but wait a minute let's not forget about that "MAD MONEY" girls, that's $3.50 you might use for that yummy piece of cheese cake that you and your red headed child could split at the end of the meal!!!  Cause, my Peyton loves him some cheescake.....!

The website concluded that I would receive a new coupon every week.  Which as of Monday, I received via email a coupon for a  FREE appetizer. All I have to do is print the coupon, bring to Chili's, and WHALLA! another FREEBIE!

Now, I'm not encouraging anyone to eat at Chili's every week, but hey if you want to, A GIRL'S GOTTA DO WHAT A GIRL'S gotta do, RIGHT?  hee hee hee

The coupons also have about a full months date on them before they expire.  So, like me, just keep 'em in your purse, or even in a pouch in your car so you would have them JUST IN CASE you and your honies' get to have a special treat!  CAUSE WE ALL NEED A BREAK EVERY NOW AND AGAIN, RIGHT?

Again, this works for a lot of establishments.  I did this also for Hobby Lobby,  with same steps to follow.  This week I received a 40% off coupon to use towards an item that I already had planned on buying.  It helps me out, and I'm sure it helps Hobby Lobby out also.  Besides, Hobby Lobby is a Christian establishment, so who better to give your money to.

A Girls GOTTA have MAD MONEY!

For all the ladies that are always on the look out for a great deal, I stumbled across one this week and thought I would pass it on.  I am always looking for a bargain, a good deal, a steal or the purchase that I just can't say no to. I like to say that I am resourceful with my money and not uptight with it.  A little frugal if you wanna call it that, but that's a good word for me.

Being a stay at home mom is not only new to me, but it is also a new JOB for me as well.  I want to stay home, and I am discovering that with a little budgeting, and making better choices for my family, I just may be able to make this new job work out for everyone.

Ok, here is the BIG DEAL of the week:

If you are not familiar with the chain CVS.. well, get yourself familiar with them.  Have you ever noticed the coupon that comes in the mail, or the one that is attached to the receipt at CVS?  It says, "receive a $25.00 CVS gift card with a new, or transferred RX."  Now come on, all of us moms out there have at least one prescription floating around in our medicine cabinets that has a refill or two left on them right?  Well, it's probably the cough medicine, or an allergy medicine that you know you will fill anyway with the upcoming flu and allergy season upon us.  So.......fill it, if your insurance is like mine, if it is generic it is probably cheaper, or  at the most, you may have to pay $5.00 for it.  But, remember, you were going to fill it anyway for the upcoming winter season right? So, you already had that in your families health budget......So in short, you walk away with $25.00 extra on a CVS gift card!!!!!

Now, if you are not following me, let me break it down....being a stay at home mom also means that my "MAD" money is funny these days.....I have to account for a budget remember.....but, I consider this, ALL MINE BABY!  So from that, let me continue...So, I take the $25.00 gift card and after checking their Ad, I notice that some face stuff that I want to try is on sale, (you know, the stuff that we need for those wrinkles that we don't have) Well, it is on sale for $13.99 but if I buy it, the computer will generate a $7.00 off next purchase coupon at the register. So, that is what I did.  The computer also generated a coupon for a free beauty charm, cause you know us GIRLS!  WE LOVE TO BE REWARDED WITH CHARMS AND TRINKETS ANY DAY OF THE YEAR, AND ESPECIALLY FREE ONES.

So after paying for the "face stuff"  and receiving my coupon for my charm.  I go back and purchase the $8.99 hand lotion that the dr. said my son should use.  Oh, and the dr. had given me a $1.00 off coupon in his office.  So the clerk rings up the $8.99 lotion, she deducts the $7.00 in store coupon from my previous purchase and then deducts the $1.00 off manufacturer coupon leaving a balance of .99 cents plus tax.So, for $1.07 I walked out of there with my hand  lotion in hand!  No pun intended!  But don't forget, I GOT A FREE BEAUTY CHARM TOOOOOOO!

Isn't that a great moment of shopping?  I love those kinds of trips.. Also, don't forget that you have to have a CVS card to scan at the register to keep track of your savings and spending.  Like the Kroger ones we have
